The West of Twin Peaks Central Council (WTPCC) was formed in 1936, and is a resource for neighborhood organizations on the residential West side of San Francisco, CA. The council is a 501(c)4 non-profit organization (EIN: 94-2891282) that offers a forum for it’s member organizations to communicate and collaborate for the betterment of San Francisco. The WTPCC frequently hosts City officials, as well as representatives from law enforcement and other city departments who provide updates on legislation and other topics of interest.
Mission
The purposes of this Council shall be:
- To bring about cooperation and united action among all of the home, civic and improvement organizations in the district known as “West of Twin Peaks,” San Francisco, California
- To endorse, or refrain from endorsing, or oppose, proposed measures which directly concern the West of Twin Peaks area or public or civil welfare of San Francisco, and which measures are non-political in character; those measures non-political in character are hereby declared to be all proposed measures other than the personal candidacies for elective office as provided for in the Charter of the City and County of San Francisco, or any other City or County, or in the laws of the State of California, or in the laws of the Constitution of the United States, as from time to time amended or supplemented.
- To do anything or everything which shall, at any time, become necessary or expedient to promote the interests of this Council and to carry out its business for the purpose of attaining or furthering any of its purposes.
